FILM MAKER ROBERT BLAISDELL
Born in San Francisco, Robert Blaisdell moved to Monterey in 1938, and later, to Big Sur in the early 60s, and his motion picture camera never stopped. Creating films of nature and beauty, Mr. Blaisdell's films are in the permanent collections at the Museum of Modern Art and Metropolitan Museums of New York. He has traveled the world making documentaries and feature films. In the late 60s he asked his friend, Film and TV star Doug McClure, to narrate his Big Sur film. His films have won numerous awards from the National Library Association, San Francisco Film Festival, Chicago Film Festival C.I.N.E.
